Ring, K18YG & Opal

S-sama brought us a ring for consultation.

She said that the ring design felt a bit outdated and she wanted it remade into a design she could wear every day.

The opal in the original ring was set vertically, but she wanted it set horizontally. We provided estimates for both platinum and K18YG.

Due to the high price of K18, the discussion leaned towards platinum for budget reasons. However, S-sama was also aware that K18YG and opals are an excellent match. After we sent her 3D images of both options, she responded enthusiastically for K18YG, and we proceeded with the creation.

When designing the ring, we paid particular attention to the fact that the stone was large and cabochon-cut. We made the bezel setting as thin as possible to preserve the stone's plumpness.

We also considered the balance with the top, ensuring the ring band was not too thin.

S-sama was very pleased at the time of delivery, and we've since received reports that she continues to wear it daily.
