Terms of service

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) set forth the conditions for using the online shop (“Service”) provided by RECEPTION (“Shop”) on this website.
All users (“Users”) shall use the Service in accordance with these Terms.

 

Article 1 Scope

These Terms apply to all relationships between Users and the Shop regarding the use of the Service.

The Shop may establish additional rules or provisions regarding the use of the Service (“Individual Provisions”).

If these Terms conflict with any Individual Provisions, the Individual Provisions shall prevail unless otherwise specified.

 

Article 2 Sales Contract

A sales contract is formed when a User places an order through the Service and the Shop accepts the order.

Ownership of the products shall transfer to the User when the Shop hands over the products to the delivery carrier.

The Shop may cancel the sales contract without prior notice if any of the following applies:

- The User violates these Terms.
- Delivery cannot be completed due to an unknown address or other reason.
- The Shop determines that the relationship of trust between the Shop and the User has been impaired.

Payment methods, shipping methods, cancellations, and returns shall be handled in accordance with the methods separately specified by the Shop.

 

Article 3 Intellectual Property Rights

Copyrights and other intellectual property rights related to product photographs and other content posted on the Service belong to the Shop or the rightful owners.

Users may not reproduce, repost, modify, or otherwise use such content without the Shop’s permission.

 

Article 4 Disclaimer

The Shop does not warrant that the Service is free from factual or legal defects.

The Shop shall not be liable for any damages incurred by Users through the use of the Service.

However, if these Terms constitute a consumer contract under the Consumer Contract Act of Japan, this provision shall not apply. In such case, even if the Shop is liable for damages caused by its negligence, the Shop shall not be liable for damages arising from special circumstances, except in cases of gross negligence.

The Shop shall not be liable for any transactions, communications, disputes, or other matters arising between Users and third parties in connection with the Service.

 

Article 5 Handling of Personal Information

The Shop shall appropriately handle personal information obtained through the use of the Service in accordance with the Shop’s Privacy Policy.

 

Article 6 Notices and Communications

Notices and communications between Users and the Shop shall be made by the method specified by the Shop.

Unless a User notifies the Shop of a change through the prescribed method, the Shop shall regard the registered contact information as valid and shall send notices or communications to that contact information.

Such notices or communications shall be deemed to have reached the User at the time they are sent by the Shop.

 

Article 7 Prohibition of Assignment

Users may not assign or transfer their position under the sales contract, or any rights or obligations under these Terms, to any third party, or provide them as collateral, without the prior written consent of the Shop.

 

Article 8 Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Japan.

The application of the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods shall be excluded with respect to the Service.

If any dispute arises in connection with the Service, the court having jurisdiction over the location of the Shop’s principal place of business shall be the exclusive agreed court of jurisdiction.
