[Background]
At the age of 18, I began working at BROOKLYN PROJECTS, a skateboard shop with locations in Los Angeles and Hiroshima, where I was involved in selling skateboards and apparel. During a summer break in university, I traveled alone to Los Angeles, where the main store was located. There, I met Mr. T, who was working at the LA store at the time. That connection later became the starting point of my path into jewelry.

After Mr. T entered the jewelry industry, I became increasingly interested in diamonds and jewelry. When I was looking for a pair of earrings for myself, I visited department stores and luxury brands, but could not find anything I truly wanted. I then consulted Mr. T and decided to have a pair of earrings made as a fully bespoke piece.

The process of thinking through the design, seeing it take shape, and experiencing the excitement of the finished piece made me deeply realize the true appeal of jewelry.

In 2012, when RECEPTION was founded, I teamed up with Mr. T and began selling jewelry in earnest. Today, I design jewelry myself and handle a wide range of services, including bespoke jewelry, sales, and redesign consultations. I have worked on approximately 1,000 pieces to date. Drawing on my experience and close collaboration with Mr. T’s trusted workshop, I continue to create each piece with great care.
