A Proposal in the Making: A Bespoke Engagement Ring

A friend once asked us whether we could help with an engagement ring. When we replied that rings for proposals were one of our specialties, they immediately introduced us to S.

As S lived outside the prefecture, we spoke with him by phone about his situation and what he had in mind. The following day, we sent him details of a diamond we recommended.

At 0.3 carat—a popular size—and with the highest cut grade, it immediately caught his attention, and he decided on it without hesitation.

Since the ring was to be fully bespoke, we discussed what we could create through a custom design. Together, we decided to add initials beneath the setting.

S was very pleased with the overall design, the initials, and the meaning behind the eight prongs, with the number eight representing eternity. Once the design was approved, we moved into production.

We later received the wonderful news that the proposal had been a success.

We were delighted to have played even a small part in helping S take this important step.
