Bespoke Diamond Earrings in 18K Yellow Gold

A client who had previously purchased a necklace for her daughter returned to us, this time to commission a pair of earrings.

She mentioned that she had visited a well-known French luxury house to look at earrings and had been surprised by the price.

For this commission, we selected and proposed diamonds that would fit within her budget.

Our initial proposal was for two 0.23 ct diamonds, each graded G color, VS1 clarity, and Excellent cut. The first design is shown here.

We proposed a setting that leaves the diamonds visible from the side, allowing more light to enter.

The client then asked for slightly higher-grade diamonds and a cleaner, sharper design. Taking her requests into account, we selected the diamonds and finalized the design shown here.

The setting was finished with well-defined edges to create a crisp, angular appearance.

We also used specially designed earring posts and backs that are less likely to come loose. The completed earrings are shown here.

The client was delighted when we presented the finished earrings.

At the time of ordering, she had been concerned that they might look too large, but she was very pleased with the finished size.
